Happy Birthday to me -- can't believe I have turned 64. Actually I am looking forward to next year when I can get Medicare. We currently have no health insurance so Guiteau and I really work on staying healthy with the help of the Lord of course.
I appreciate the wonderful jewelry Dollie made for me for my birthday and the card. She is like my sister that I love dearly and have known for over 30 years. I really appreciate the photo she sent of Guiteau and I about 20 years ago....I was slim and much younger then... maybe I am wiser now??
My cousin Jeanne also sent a cute card about how when we were young we wanted to be "bigger". Well, "bigger" isn't always taller. :)
Today it is raining but it is really welcome. Since we are not doing an outdoor show this weekend I don't mind. We are working in the comfort of our studio so it is pleasant. Also, the rain will wash away a lot of the pollen that has fallen in the past month. Flowers will be blooming soon.
Next week is our San Antonio show for clearing out a lot of art from our studio. Ten percent of all sales go to the Little Church of LaVillita and we get to keep the rest. It is a blessing for all of us. Because it will be Easter weekend I don't know how the Sunday sales will be but we expect and hope for the best.
Last Tuesday we had a home appointment and sold a very large landscape painting to a couple who had a beautiful home in Houston. It just seemed custom made for them and they were happy. We were also happy to have our artwork in such a great environment. It also helped our sales for the show.
Also, I got a call from a customer this week that they may be purchasing a very large (48x60) painting from us soon. It is for their home in South Carolina and I will probably hold it until August but it is nice to know that they are still interested. That will be a nice addition to my sales at the Bayou City Memorial Park show last weekend.
Keep safe....and God bless you all. Continue to pray for our troops, their families and all of ours and yours. elaine
